It is sad to think the summer is nearing an end. It was a great summer for me however, one that I will undoubtedly never forget. However fear not dear reader, I plan to have an equally great autumn. I choose to call it autumn because fall is such a negative word! Here are some things that this cool autumn has in store for me!

The Haunting tour
I’m working on getting this together with a bunch of friends. I want to hit up at least 1 different haunted house / corn maze each weekend in October. I know of at least 4 good ones in the area so it should be a good time.

Halloween Party
I’m sure we will probably still have our annual Halloween party however Michelle and I were thinking about switching things up this year and making it more interesting. We’ll see where this goes.

Great Autumn Music
The first great album for autumn is Plans (hence the post name) by Death Cab For Cutie. Looking to wind down after a high energy summer. Try taking a walk through the leaf covered forest floor with Plans on your iPod. Instant cure for the stresses of life! I have some other great albums that I love in the Fall too. Am I the only one that listens to music seasonally?

Pumpkin Train
I’d like to take a ride on the Coopersville Marne Pumpkin Train this year. I’ve heard it is alot of fun for the whole family so we’ll have to give that a shot.

Everyone has them. These are the albums you toss into the car cd player and play until the disc warps from overheating or you put them on repeat on your mp3 player and you can just listen to them over and over on repeat never tiring of the same sounds.

The great part is that they are different for everyone. I came up with this list of mine.

I am sure I am missing some great ones but these are the albums that immediately come to mind when I think of pressing the repeat button and listening non-stop for a few hours. That is not to say that there aren’t other songs/albums/artists that I like more. This stuff is just easy to listen to over and over and over again.

New LP single is out today. I can’t wait for the rest of the album to be released on May 15th. If you have napster or iTunes check it out. Otherwise you can hit up youtube and search for it (quality is lacking though).

I used to look forward to the great new music on Tuesdays. For the last few months I have been let down week after week. This week is no different. Unless of course you are into J-Lo in Spanish…Then it is your lucky week.

I was just listening to some music and I noticed there were like 2 or 3 songs in a row that I liked that were about California. So I started thinking about more of my favorite music and came up with this list.

1. Back to California – Sugarcult
2. Dani California – Red Hot Chili Peppers
3. Hotel California – The Eagles
4. California Love – 2Pac feat. Dr. Dre
5. California Justice – Five for Fighting
6. California Dreamin’ – DJ Sammy (I know this has been done by a number of artists but this is my favorite)

I know that I am probably missing a few….

I have never been to Cali and would love to go some day. At least I already have a playlist ready for the flight.

I always find that the albums/tracks that I wait for the longest tend to suck. The ones that I am not expecting by artists I am not as familar with seem to be the greatest. Also I realized the vast majority of the new music I find comes from video. Today I am bringing you the best of the music I have heard last week. A variety of songs that I can’t seem to get out of my head.
