Her music is a demanding, whiney version of Philip Glass without the chord progression or atmospheric qualities. Maybe she’ll mature, but she needs to come up with something a little more original before that’ll happen.

It’s good music but a lot of it sounds like a copy of Philip Glass’s work for “Truman Show”. Almost all of it in fact, only a little bit is different. It’s hard to really call it an original piece when the melody is almost exactly the same.
See the scene in Truman show where Truman is reunited with his father on the bridge. The music is the same.

I have to agree with snowcat on that one, it sounds exactly like the song from “The Truman Show”, by Phillip Glass. A couple of parts are different, but if I would have to choose between Carly and Glass as the creator’s of this song, the first thing I would say is Glass. That’s actually what I thought of when i first saw the Noah 6 years video on YouTube. But either way, it’s still a good piece. ^^

Hmmm, at the risk of being attacked… I, um, liked the song. I knew it sounded familiar but couldn’t remember from what movie (thanks, snowcat). Sure it is similar, but that doesn’t mean it’s a copy. How anybody can write an original score without duplicating parts of something that may or may not have been written already is beyond me. Regarding all the bickering, holy cow. Maybe it’s ok to correct somebody that you don’t know, but what’s all the attacking about? Jeez.

I adore this song… Its like a dagger in my soul yet I can’t stop listening… and yes, it might RESEMBLE the piano solo from the truman show yet its a completely different atmosphere, and how people can even say it is the same melody is beyond my comprehension, they are still very different pieces. In my opinion, the Philip Glass solo is hopeful and gentle, whereas Every Day is piercing and lamenting. The whole soul of the song is different. Anyway, awesome song, it has a soul of its own
